Hello, I was born in China and Immigrated to the US in 2001. I was not an athlete in China, but started running and participating in Duathlons in 2003 here in the US. Then in 2005 I took my son to a summer track program and saw racewalking for the first time, I thought it looked interesting and asked if I could try. For some reason I liked it right away and had fun that first summer learning, in Oct I participated in my first National 5K championship and got 6th overall. In 2006 I still continued to Run, Walk and do Duathlons, but could not be the best at one with so many different events. I decided since Racewalking is an Olympic sport to concentrate on it and in 2007 I only trained for Walking, and I placed 5th in the USATF national 20K championships and qualified for the 2008 Olympic trials.
I want to thank Vince Peters and the Miami Valley track club for teaching me the basic's, Jeff Savage for teaching me how to better my form, and Dave McGovern for perfecting it and coaching me for 2 years, and Bob Schul for coaching me for 2 years.
